Jenna Arielle Bethoney
At the heart of à rielle private gatherings is Chef Jenna Bethoney — a classically trained chef with an artist’s eye and a creative spirit. Her food celebrates beauty, balance, and connection, bringing thoughtful dining experiences to intimate spaces where every detail is intentional and every flavor tells a story.
A Journey Shaped by Art and Flavor
Jenna’s love of food was nurtured during ten years of her childhood spent living and traveling throughout Europe with her family. Surrounded by art, history, and the daily rituals of good eating, she learned that food is a universal language — one of connection, culture, and creativity.
She earned a degree in Art History at Colby College and studied abroad in France, where her appreciation for aesthetics and composition deepened into a passion for the culinary arts. She went on to pursue her culinary degree at Johnson & Wales University, beginning her professional career at Persimmon Restaurant in Bristol, Rhode Island. There, and later at The Chanler Hotel, Roberto’s Restaurant, and Eli’s Kitchen, Jenna refined her technique and developed a signature style rooted in seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine.
Philosophy
Jenna believes food should be vibrant, nourishing, and alive with character. Her cooking celebrates the seasons, guided by the conviction that every dish needs herbs, spices, and acidity to find its balance. With a commitment to nutrition and scratch cooking, she crafts meals that are both refined and restorative — food that feels as good as it tastes.
Through à rielle, Jenna shares not only the art of cooking but also her joy for bringing people together around the table. Whether through a private dinner, cooking class, or curated gathering, she invites guests to slow down, savor, and rediscover the pleasure of eating well.
